Sadly Merced native Bill Whittington passed away in San Francisco on November 12.  He was the  bassist of the seminal Merced band The Brogues.  Though only together a short while The Brogues continues to have an impact on California music and is still known worldwide. We were saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Greg Campi, on October 14, 2010.
